Call for Special Sessions

We  are pleased to announce 5 special sessions for KSE 2015.  The full list of special sessions is:

1. Special Session: Legal Text Processing

Session Organizers:

Ngo Xuan Bach (PTIT, Vietnam)

Makoto Nakamura (Nagoya University, Japan)

Katsuhiko Toyama (Nagoya University, Japan)

Legal text processing is a research area of natural language processing (NLP) specialized for legal texts. The recent development of NLP, which has entered a period of statistical processing, makes it possible to realize advanced intelligent processing. However, research on the legal domain is still a work in progress due to insufficient language resources. The difficulty also comes from requirements of expertise in law, and the feasibility of legal knowledge bases. Thus far, these problems have been discussed in different fields such as NLP, Legal Informatics, and AI and Law. This special session aims to bring together researchers and developers with all these different backgrounds to discuss and exchange new ideas and the latest achievements in legal text processing.

Information about the post-conference publication is updated!!

5. Special Session: Information System and Communication Protocol for Vehicular Technology

 Session Organizers:

  • Dong-Chul Park (Myongji  University, Korea)
  • Soo-Young Min (Korea Electronics Technology Institute, Korea)

In the last decade, major developments on information systems for vehicular technology have been witnessed. These new developments have led to an enormous increase in competitiveness among companies and new technology is needed to capitalize on the information systems. Hardware configuration as well as algorithm development for a certain communication topology such as the synchronous Ethernet communication become a vital technology for vehicles equipped with various electronic equipment including cameras and different sensors. This research trend includes the development of real time control and communication for over 100Mbps traffic data with flexible configuration of network topologies among different manufactures. This research also requires the development of intelligent safety information system for vehicle and drivers. The aim of this special session is to bring together individuals from academia, industry and government to discuss and exchange ideas in the fields of mobile, wireless and vehicular technology as well as the applications and services associated with such technology. Features include regular research track and industrial track. In industrial track, up-to-date development reports and work-in-progress papers from industry are invited.

Topics of Interests, but not limited:

  • PHY/MAC layer protocol for vehicle communication
  • Integrated gateway based on 1 Gbps Synchronous Ethernet
  • Intelligent safety system with Around View Monitoring
  • Intelligent pedestrian identification and classification system
